I have tested 2.3.6-0ubuntu2~20.04.0 on ubuntu.exe with ubuntu 20.04, 18.04 and 16.04 installed alongside (ubuntu2004.exe, ubuntu1804.exe, ubuntu1604.exe). The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wslu/2.3.6-0ubuntu2~20.04.0 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
