I have the same problem but here it does not connect. Both green balls are lit up in the applet and it keeps spinning forever although I cannot ping out, etc. -- nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188766 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 188766] Re: nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection
I get the same thing with a wireless network. It all connects, I can browse the web, but nm-applet never stops spinning and doesn't add the network to the list of saved wireless networks. -- nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188766 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 188766] Re: nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection
Hi there do you still experience this issue with the current version of the application?, could you please try to reproduce this using the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. Thanks in advance ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low Status: New = Incomplete -- nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188766 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 188766] Re: nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection
Attached is the result of sniffing traffic with wireshark and trimming out everything but IGMP, DHCP and a couple of stray DNS packets. This does look identical to bug #190142 as running dhclient eth0 by hand does not show the same problem. ** Attachment added: dump of network traffic http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11896696/export.pcap -- nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188766 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 188766] Re: nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection
Could you please run Wireshark listening on port 67 and attach capture file here? It's got similar symptoms as my bug #190142. -- nm-applet won't stop spinning for wired connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188766 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
