Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: adept-updater

Adept notifier (on AMD 64 bit Kubuntu Gutsy) indicates that there are
some packages that need to be updated.

When I click on the icon to run Adept Updater, I not only see the
packages that need to be upgraded, but also a lot of packages which are
marked to be removed (screen shot attached)

As these include such things as mplayer and ffmpeg(which I know I need)
and others such as a number of Gnome libraries (I do have some Gnome
applications installed, despite using Kubuntu) this surely cannot be
correct.

Anybody clicking "apply updates" without checking the list could well
end up losing applications they want.

** Affects: adept (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
