[Bug 1898154] Re: Broadcom BCM4352 [14e4:43b1] Subsystem [1028:0019] No Wi-Fi Adapter Found Ubuntu 20.04 after updated Linux kernel to version 5.4.0-47-lowlatency 5.4.0-48-lowlatency
Generally it's unnecessary to install kernel headers if you don't need extra kernel components like DKMS. They're already in the Suggested section of a kernel image package. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Opinion => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1898154 Title: Broadcom BCM4352 [14e4:43b1] Subsystem [1028:0019] No Wi-Fi Adapter Found Ubuntu 20.04 after updated Linux kernel to version 5.4.0-47-lowlatency 5.4.0-48-lowlatency To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/1898154/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi You-sheng, sorry I posted and didnt realize how to edit. Please see above. Installing headers linux-headers-5.4.0-47 linux-headers-5.4.0-48 resolved the issue. So, the question is : Do we need to have any headers meta package installed? Hi, could you confirm dkms modules have been built and installed? Looks good for me from my side except I don't have this bcm chip: $ dkms status bcmwl, 6.30.223.271+bdcom, 5.4.0-45-lowlatency, x86_64: installed bcmwl, 6.30.223.271+bdcom, 5.4.0-47-generic, x86_64: installed bcmwl, 6.30.223.271+bdcom, 5.4.0-47-lowlatency, x86_64: installed bcmwl, 6.30.223.271+bdcom, 5.4.0-48-generic, x86_64: installed bcmwl, 6.30.223.271+bdcom, 5.4.0-48-lowlatency, x86_64: installed Besides, it seems stable patch broke OEM kernel interface again.
