[Bug 1901482] Re: E: Can not write log (Is /dev/pts mounted?) - posix_openpt (19: No such device)
Same problem on Ubuntu Server (21.10). Got an infinite loop after installation completed and updates started installing. As workaround I simply switched to tt2 (Ctrl+Alt+F2) and forced to reboot: $ systemctl reboot -i Then, manually upgrade once logged in: $ sudo apt upgrade -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1901482 Title: E: Can not write log (Is /dev/pts mounted?) - posix_openpt (19: No such device) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/subiquity/+bug/1901482/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Is there any workaround for this? [Bug 1901482] Re: E: Can not write log (Is /dev/pts mounted?) - posix_openpt (19: No such device)
On a vanilla Ubuntu Server Installation (20.04) I always get multiple errors of: E: Can not write log (Is /dev/pts mounted?) - posix_openpt (19: No such device). This problem still seems to exist. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1901482 Title: E: Can not write log (Is /dev/pts mounted?) - posix_openpt (19: No such device) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/subiquity/+bug/1901482/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
