I did mv $HOME/.mozilla $HOME/.mozilla.backup1 & still it crashes. I get
the same error on the CLI.

(gecko:8987): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT 
(object)' failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped) :(

stop firefox ... move your $HOME/.mozilla directory to a safe place
(backup) ... and start firefox (aka with fresh profile).

I have no idea how to upload the install.rdf files as if I try uploading
the files, firefox crashes. I disabled all the addons but still the
issue is there. If you have any idea how I can upload the files please
do tell. I have tried, FF2, FF3, Seamonkey, even links2 -g all of them
give the same issue. I have no idea where or what the issue is. It still
crashes :(
