Daniel, I have had my phone connected several times now, for differing number of times - 1 hour to over night and it appears that every time I go to log in there are no issues with a lag anymore. Is there anything you would like me to do extra? In order to track down the source of the problem further, you would need to keep the phone plugged in and then try: * gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.desktop-icons show-mount false * Toggling extensions in the Extensions app. If you are not interested in doing that, it's OK. Hi - the issue has not happened again, I have not had the phone connected to laptop as often. FYI - I do not, as far as I am aware, have any extensions running. But I have run the 2nd command as instructed - is it also worth running the following? gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.desktop-icons show-mount false Thank you for your help!
