I'm closing this report due the last comment, please do send your
request to the rhythmbox mailing list, so this feature could be
discussed by the developers of the application and they decide if this
would be feasible and can be a nice feature to have. Thanks again for
taking the time to report this issue and help to make Ubuntu better,

This is likely an upstream task and it should be handled by the
rhythmbox developers, the best option is discuss this on the the
rhythmbox mailing list because it's more like a spec to deal with,

Hi there
i don't think this would be feasible using daap protocol since as far as i 
know, this doesn't push any stream just serve it for the user to ask and get, 
this is more likely to be done in something like icecast stream. but would you 
be satisfy for instance by something like a smart playlist which shows the 
current song being played by the owner of the share, of course you probably 
won't listen the same song at the exact same time, but could be an approach.
