Public bug reported: Binary package hint: conduit
Hardy is currently shipping with Conduit 0.3.6. With the changes in 0.3.7 and 0.3.8 numerous bugs were fixed, including many involving Flickr, F-Spot, and Tomboy, as well as general clean-up and solidification of the code (a 0.4 release is upcoming soon). Additionally, support was added for syncing Gmail contacts, an often- requested feature. In order that we might ship as few bugs as possible and deliver the most sought-after features reasonably possible, I think it would be highly beneficial to include those changes in 8.04, especially given its LTS status. I have not testing building and installing myself, but have been following the Conduit development mailing list and there do not appear to be any regressions that have been mentioned there. (If I had the time to mess with the packaging / building I might be able to give it a shot, but it will be far more effecient for someone more experienced with the package to try that step instead.) ** Affects: conduit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Feature Freeze Exception request for Conduit 0.3.8 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/193605 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
