So can you explain why the video at link below (which is the one quoted
in the original message) does not play in Linux Mint (where mplayer says
it is the Debian version) ?

Reminder: error message specifically lists video format (dav1d) as the
problem...
"Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x31305641."
(I've tried with all the possible video outputs listed by "-vo help".
None works)
