What do you mean by do a rsync? I simply downloaded the livecd from 21-2-08. I also had to update the packages on the cd before the install because there was a bug in ubiquity that caused a hang in the install. I have reinstalled with an image from 29022008 and I still have the same problem. I have lots of lacking functionality (which some of is available on the livecd).
