Public bug reported: Hi devs, Many thanks for your work on open-source software! However, I've got a problem. My hardy box refuses to produce any sound after waking up from hibernation. All seems fine - mplayer -ao pulse doesn't print any warnings, rhytmbox "plays", volume control lever can be manipulated - but no sound leaves a sound card. After reboot, everything works as is supposed to. This excludes wiring problems.

After killing pulseaudio, rmmod snd-hda-intel, modprobe snd-hda-intel, 'pulseaudio --log-target=syslog', beats are there! That's why I suppose problem is in alsa kernel modules. In gutsy gibbon there is no problem like this and sound works fine after hibernation. ** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: linux-meta => alsa-driver -- [hardy] snd-hda-intel doesn't survive hibernation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194903 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
