[Bug 195228] Re: [hardy alpha 5] Totem YouTube browser can't be activated
i ran Synaptic and installed python-gdata and finally succeed in activating the YouTube plugin fro Totem i had luck to find with Google that article http://tecnocode.co.uk/2007/10/12/totem-youtube-plugin/ which mentioned the need of the GData Python library. that can't be discovered easily therefore python-gdata should be installed by default or on demand, when trying to activate the plugin ** Summary changed: - [hardy alpha 5] Totem YouTube browser can't be activated + [hardy alpha 5] Totem YouTube browser can't be activated without manually install python-gdata ** Summary changed: - [hardy alpha 5] Totem YouTube browser can't be activated without manually install python-gdata + [hardy alpha 5] Totem YouTube browser can't be activated without installing manually python-gdata -- [hardy alpha 5] Totem YouTube browser can't be activated without installing manually python-gdata https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/195228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 195228] Re: [hardy alpha 5] Totem YouTube browser can't be activated
The youtube totem plugin requires python-gdata, which is not installed by default. Installing the package resolves this problem. It seems either python-gdata should be installed with totem, or the youtube plugin should not be included with totem by default. ** Changed in: totem (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- [hardy alpha 5] Totem YouTube browser can't be activated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/195228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
