Public bug reported:

Hi there, I've tried to install Hardy Alpha 5 with an alternate cd. But
I couldn't make a full system encryption.

Here are my steps:
1) I've deleted the whole partition table and made a new one
2) Make a new boot partition with ext3 for /boot with boot-flag
3) Make a new partition with encryption
4) Configure encrypted devices

First he set up the new boot partition. After that appears the problem
(something like this failure-message): "Sorry, I can't configure the
encryption because there is system data left on the partition."

It only works with this steps:
1) Steps 1&2 above
2) Make a new partition with ext3 & full formatting
3) Abort installation after successful formatting
4) Restart installation and change the ext3 partition to an encrypted device.

If you do the steps above, the failure doesn't appear. For your
information: There was no system data or any type of data left on my
hard drive / partition. If you need more information, feel free to ask.
