Public bug reported: Hello,
I have a Thinkpad T580 with Ubuntu 20.04. After the following (regular) update Install: linux-modules-extra-5.4.0-105-generic:amd64 (5.4.0-105.119, automatic), linux-headers-5.4.0-105:amd64 (5.4.0-105.119, automatic), linux-modules-5.4.0-105-generic:amd64 (5.4.0-105.119, automatic), linux-headers-5.4.0-105-generic:amd64 (5.4.0-105.119, automatic), linux-image-5.4.0-105-generic:amd64 (5.4.0-105.119, automatic) Upgrade: linux-headers-generic:amd64 (5.4.0.104.108, 5.4.0.105.109), linux-image-generic:amd64 (5.4.0.104.108, 5.4.0.105.109), linux-generic:amd64 (5.4.0.104.108, 5.4.0.105.109) my system started to freeze 1..10 second after login. I am able to log in into the console - without a freeze. However, I receive a freeze / kernel panic when I start to reboot. Screenshot attached. When I blacklist the nouveau driver, the system works fine. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "SystemFreeze.jpg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1965988/+attachment/5571995/+files/SystemFreeze.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1965988 Title: systemd-logind failed to idle channel 2 - kernel panic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/1965988/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
