Installed `libfprint-2-tod1-goodix/jammy,now 0.0.6-0ubuntu1~22.04.1` via ppa:andch/staging-fprint on Ubuntu 22.04, but no "Fingerprint Login" option appears in "Settings" -> "Users". This was after running `reboot` to restart the machine: Dell XPS 13. Hi William, Typically, there are 2 types of fingerprint chips, one is called MOC, another one is called MOH. MOH is under supported by libfprint from upstream, and MOC needs Goodix to provide proprietary user space library. To be honest, I don't know this device id belongs to which one. libfprint-2-tod1-goodix only supports 27c6:533C. Goodix Fingerprint Device --- So far I have searched everywhere and no luck yet. hi Andy, that is great, will it be posted here? For people interested, the message above confirming it works is on a Dell XPS 9500, Dell Precision 5550 and Dell XPS 9700. Andy, what do you mean with only in Jammy main? As in not in future releases? Included in main would be great, then it can 'just work' via extra drivers or directly. I believe I had to wipe the prints specifically for one laptop, but otherwise it just works.
