Still an issue in 24.04 and the suggested command GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash intel_iommu=on,igfx_off" Did not resolve the issue. System is an HP EliteDesk 800 G3 with a NVIDIA 1030 GT card installed. https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/Intel-IOMMU.txt If you encounter issues with graphics devices, you can try adding option intel_iommu=igfx_off to turn off the integrated graphics engine. If this fixes anything, please ensure you file a bug reporting the problem. So the underlying issue is not fixed. I have an Intel Nuc, Product Name: D34010WYK, i3-4010U, its hooked up a Samsung TV via hdmi. The sound defaults to HDMI/DisplayPort - Built-in Audio, Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output but that doesn't work. If I flip it to Digital Surround it works but since the TV only has a left/right speaker I would think stereo should work and doesn't.
