They are disabled in Adept3, the KDE4 version of Adept. It is not offically released yet, but is on its way into intrepid and likely hardy-backports. I looked at the source code and the relevant part (in app.cpp) seems correct. The problems happens both in Gutsy (adept 2.1.3ubuntu17.1) and Hardy (adept 2.1.3ubuntu23). The behaviour depends on what button I press: - Undo: the button deactivates, and Redo activates; - Fetch Updates: adept starts fetching updates, then crashes (backtrace attached); - Preview Changes: changes are previewed, while the installation proceeds in the background; - Apply Changes: the installation process restarts, but a window appears: Konsole is unable to open a PTY (pseudo teletype). It is likely that this is due to an incorrect configuration of the PTY devices. Konsole needs to have read/write access to the PTY devices. When I click OK, the installation completes normally, and then adept crashes (backtrace attached); - Full Upgrade: the button deactivates.
