[Bug 2011385] Re: [950XED, Realtek ALC298, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

2024-06-26 Thread Daniel Li
Got pretty much same issue, but is just for the internal speaker.
External speakers works fine though. When playing any sound by built-in
speaker, got very noisy electric buzz sound (like old TV/radio without
signal). Tried Ubuntu 24.04, Fedora 40, Pop!Os 22, same issue. And btw
my razer blade is 2022 Advanced model - Razer Blade 15 (2022) -
RZ09-0421. And what I tried was Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

Great job, confirmed that fix works on a Razer Blade 16 - RZ09-0483.

[Bug 2011385] Re: [950XED, Realtek ALC298, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

2024-04-14 Thread Justin Kelley
What's the resolution here? I've tried every incantation of fixes and
patches. I'm currently running 6.9-rc but even that doesn't resolve the
problem. Latest installs of sof-firmwre, updating alsa tools...nothing

[Bug 2011385] Re: [950XED, Realtek ALC298, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

2024-03-28 Thread DanielBodart
I thought it was worth mentioning that sound does work via the headphone
jack on Ubuntu 23.10 and that when using the speaker, audio levels are
still detected in system settings. This makes me think all codecs etc
are working but that it's a simple toggle somewhere to get the speaker
to work rather than it requiring driver updates etc.
