[Bug 201638] Re: torcs-bin crashed with SIGSEGV
i decided to have a play around in torcs. In the sound menu i changed it to use plib. It no longer crashes, so it appears to be a bug in how the application is using openal for sound. -- torcs-bin crashed with SIGSEGV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 201638] Re: torcs-bin crashed with SIGSEGV
I think i may have the same problem. At first i thought it was just crashing about 10 seconds in. Then i realised it was when i hit another car that it crashed (for example drove into the car to push it out of way :p ). Is this the same thing as you? I'm using nvidia driver. You can get debugging symbols for torcs from synaptic after adding this repository: deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com gutsy main universe I have debugging symbols now but I cant figure out how to get gdb to debug it :S When i was trying to debug it i found that the bin file its accessing is a script that initiates torcs and tells it where all the libs are etc. In that same file it said something about debugging torcs with -d option. So i did that and I'm adding output as attachment. Maybe it has the backtrace you want? The bit near the bottom looks like a backtrace to me? but I don't know I don't have much experience in debugging (I've only ever written extremely basic programs and only needed to debug once). ** Attachment added: "output of torcs -d" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14696174/torcs%20-d -- torcs-bin crashed with SIGSEGV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
