I don't know if I'm right here, but the same problem occurs with an Intel 2915 a/b/g card (and with 2200 b/g cards - there are some threads on ubuntuforums.org - but no one seems to take the time to post it here), but there is an easy fix.
echo "options ipw2200 led=1" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/options or adding options ipw2200 led=1 to /etc/modprobe.d/ipw2200 I don't really care if the light is on or not - as long as my wireless works, but some might be used to having a led blinking when searching for available networks or having the light as an indicator for a working connection. Maybe there's a connection betwen this and these bugs: 176090 175829 (but I can't tell). ** Summary changed: - [Hardy] Itel PRO Wireless button light not working + [Hardy] Intel PRO Wireless button light not working -- [Hardy] Intel PRO Wireless button light not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202630 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
