[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2010-01-13 Thread ph
I have firefox 3.0.16 the CPU goes totally green 100% when using a pogo game
site.If I drop the screen hit desktop refresh it settles back down but this
is an ongoing issue!
We just had the master drive replace so it should be going like a madman but
this issue is the only problem as the rest of the net works fine.
Have I got the wrong Java?
All Java cashe is cleaned out!
Also this is the 1st year we bought Kapurski 2010 is there a setting thats
preventing java from working proper?
Also the F'n thing seems to constantly scan??!!? we bought Norton year to year
but bought Kapurski this year instead(mistake??)
As I type this the CPU has gone 100% the kapurski arrow in the tray is
flashing again!

[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2010-01-13 Thread Martin Kalén
@ph: you seem to be talking about problems with Firefox on a Windows
machine. This bug report concerns the icedtea-java7-plugin on the Ubuntu
Linux operating system. (Launchpad is used for open source collaboration
and therefore there are no Microsoft or Windows-related issues at all.)

You might want to try Firefox forums and/or Kaspersky anti-virus support
to get help.

[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2009-07-10 Thread Martin Kalén
Cannot reproduce with Jaunty, Firefox 3 (3.0.11+build2+nobinonly-
0ubuntu0.9.04.1), icedtea6-plugin (6b14-1.4.1-0ubuntu7). I think it's
safe to close this bug.

2009-07-03 Thread duanedesign
You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you.
Judging by the last comments this bug may be fixed. Can you try with the
latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2008-10-09 Thread Martin Kalén
The problem is no longer present when using Intrepid beta, Firefox 3
(3.0.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu1) and icedtea-gcjwebplugin
(1.0-1ubuntu3) on a 2.6.27-6-generic i686 kernel and the latest release
of the applet (cbt_bidt_3_5_5_sign.jar).

It is difficult to tell wether the problem is fixed by changes in
icedtea-gcjwebplugin and/or openjdk or changes in the applet itself.

[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2008-06-23 Thread Martin Kalén
For those wanting to use the Swedish Bank ID applet: removing the
icedtea-gcjwebplugin and using Sun Java 6, sun-java6-plugin (tested
with 6-06-0ubuntu1 from multiverse/web) instead, is a work-around for
this particular problem in Icedtea.

[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2008-06-23 Thread Martin Kalén
Re. Matti Lindell's suspicion that this is probably a duplicate/related
to bug #207064 (and bug #203484) - this is *not* the case since I can
reproduce using Ubuntu 8.04.1, Firefox 3.0 (3.0+nobinonly-
0ubuntu0.8.04.1) and icedtea-gcjwebplugin (1.0-0ubuntu7 from
universe/web) on 2.6.24-19-generic i686 kernel (ie 32 bit).

Or rather; #203484 has the correct title but might have the wrong
conclusions - I think this problem is indeed caused by Does not ask to
grant additional permissions.

See eg.
https://test.bankid.com/TestBankidCom/Templates/TestPage.aspx?id=29 (on
https://test.bankid.com/TestBankidCom/Templates/TestPage.aspx?id=28 a
screenshot of the Sun Java plugin asking for permission grant is shown).

[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2008-05-22 Thread Mats
I can confirm this bug on 8.04 i386 with FF Beta 5

The site I am using is Swedbank internet bank and its BankID (X.509(?)
certificate) issuing applet. https://internetbank.swedbank.se

With icedtea-java7 no run confirmation pop-up window appears (like it
does with sun-java6), instead the text Applet was not granted
necessary rights and is unable to run. Please contact your support line
if this problem persists appears in the applet window.

It works when I run sun-java6.

[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2008-05-03 Thread hansson_14
I had the same problem trying to log into Swedish Tax Auth.
And my bank etc.
The problem arose after upgrading to Ubuntu 8.04 (32-bit).
I use Firefox 3 beta 5.
Solution for me was:
I searched Synaptic for JRE and realized I had many versions.
I uninstalled all but sun-java6-bin, sun-java6-jre and sun-java6-plugin.

[Bug 202883] Re: Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet

2008-04-26 Thread Micke
I got the exact same problem when upgrading to hardy. After trying to
fix things through editing permissions in different versions of
java.policy (I wasted a couple of hours doing that :-), I found the
simple solution to be the best. I uninstalled jre with synaptic and
reinstalled through firefox plugin-manager. It took less then a minute
and fixed everything right up :-)
