Again, this is puzzling since I have already been playing WMA files in Ubuntu. Does the version of Windows Media Player used to make the rip from CD have anything to do with it? The other bug I was referring to is #165324, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/165324 . The bug apparently happens only with a group of WMA files from a ripped CD set but works with other WMA files. The bug is apparently reproducible. Recently, I updated GStreamer development files but I am not sure if that had anything to do with it. Thank YOU for helping to develop Ubuntu and for making it available to all.
