It looks like that LG panel does support VRR in theory (Display is continuous frequency) but there's a bug in the EDID where it fails to follow the standard that says: "If the continuous frequency bit is set to ‘1’, then the Display Range Limits Descriptor (refer to section 3.10.3.3) is required to be included in BASE EDID" Yours is missing the Display Range Limits Descriptor, so it's a bug in the hardware. Maybe you can get a firmware update from the manufacturer to fix it.
