I managed to git rid of cockpit using the following commands:

```
sudo apt --fix-broken install
sudo apt-get remove -y cockpit cockpit-pcp pcp
sudo apt autoremove -y
```

It seems the issue is related to the pcp package, which fails to install
even when attempted after the upgrade.

```
$ sudo apt install  -y cockpit
