[Bug 207767] Re: [hardy] nm-editor does nothing

2009-02-09 Thread Alexander Sack
not sure what issue this wa. maybe you use static IP or something which
would make your device umanaged from NM. Anyway, this particular issue
does not exist in NM 0.7 and later anymore, so setting invalid.

I'm experiencing the same thing, using Hardy server x64. WEP works fine
but nothing shows up in nm-editor.

What information do you need to diagnose this bug?

Yes. I roam between several networks.

In Gutsy I used the /etc/network/interfaces file with guessnet. Since
NM doesn't (yet) have that functionality, I've switched back to using
it. (Or am trying to, since there seem to be bugs there as well, but
that's a separate bug report...)

For what it's worth, I can't reproduce this at all.

I just noticed that if I go to administration and disable wireless
roaming mode I can set the AP, and it will automatically connect. I
still can't see anything in nm-applet though.

2008-04-16 Thread Daenyth
I have the exact same bug on a fresh install of Hardy. I am able to
workaround this by using wifi-radar instead. I tried connecting on the
CLI and was able to associate with iwconfig, but dhclient timed out
without getting a lease. I am not sure if the dhclient issue is related
to this; it might be my router.

lspci gives:
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
