Hello Payteer. Regarding the fingerprint reader, I can see from bug #179923 that it seems to work fine! Instead the driver for your webcam is still under heavy development as you can see (bug #55567) . Since your problem has already been reported, I'm going to close this report. In case that the fingerprint reader or your webcam still do not work as expected, I suggest you should drop a comment to bug reports #179923 or #55567. Some days ago I set the status of this bug report as "Invalid" because you hadn't replied neither to Leann Ogasawara's question nor to Diego Iastrubni's comment. So I thought that it was better to mark this report as Invalid since there hasn't been any activity in it recently. Hold on this is still not fixed. The wifi works in Intreprid now, but not the finger scanner or built in camera. The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. There are one of two ways you should be able to test: 1) If you are comfortable installing packages on your own, the linux- image-2.6.27-* package is currently available for you to install and test. --or-- 2) The upcoming Alpha5 for Intrepid Ibex 8.10 will contain this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. Alpha5 is set to be released Thursday Sept 4. Please watch http://www.ubuntu.com/testing for Alpha5 to be announced. You should then be able to test via a LiveCD. Hello, I am not too sure to know what wifi driver I am using, I had a feeling you would ask this. I don't know how to find that. Anyway my computer is up to date as I do this every evening. We will focus then on the wifi as this is most important. Can you make sure you have the latest updates for Hardy installed. It wasn't clear if this was the case or not. Also, it's helpful to the development teams if bug reports target one specific issue. Lets have this report be about the wifi issues you are seeing. Can you then open a new report for each of the remaining issues you have. What wifi driver are you using?
