This issue is resolved in the latest upstream. I don't know what server it's using though. I also had no problem with the version compiled from source, but have this problem with the version from the repo. I just compiled the SVN code with their script (http://community.electricsheep.org/node/51) and executing the viewer only works fine: $ ./electricsheep downloading sheep, please wait... ... downloading sheep, please wait... Terminated Running the saver executable though: $ ./electricsheep-saver please be patient while the first sheep is downloaded... curl: (6) Couldn't resolve host 'v2d6.sheepserver.net' lost contact with v2d6.sheepserver.net, cannot retrieve sheep. ^CTerminated It seems the server which 'seeds' the sheep is unavailable, even the google cache is pretty bare! I'm having a worse problem. I don't think it's going to resolve itself. I can't resolve v2d6.sheepserver.net or even sheepserver.net. I'm poking around electricsheep.org to see if I can find an address for another server that will work with version 2.6 of electricsheep. I also have the same problem. I have already download some sheep packs, so I can display some default sheep. however, I get the attached output when I run the command electricsheep --debug 1 --display-anim 0 I did have better luck, though, using the command electricsheep --debug 1 --display-anim 0 --server v2d6.sheepserver.net The server is taken from the listed default when entering electricsheep --help. I'm not really sure why this works out better-- it seems to download from the same Coral Cache domain.
