We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISOs are available from cdimage.ubuntu.com) If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log? Thanks in advance. I had a problem in 7.10 and i have updated to 8.04 and the problems continues. When i try to open a divx (with totem, vlc, or another) only appearse vertical green lines and the desktop is very slow. Whatever I open the same divx file with avidemux and this plays the video correctly. ¿Is it useful this information? ¿What can i do to give you more data?
