When the X-server tries to do something, that makes the screen flicker (switching users, logging out, shutting down), in 33% of all cases, the system crashes completely (blank screen, absolutely nonresponsive to anything). Can confirm this for Kubuntu Hardy with fglrx. But it does not occur on another laptop with the radeonhd driver. This only happens when shutting down from logout screen.
