[Bug 214156] Re: openoffice.org-base openoffice.org-core not installing

2008-06-23 Thread liamer
I had the same error. After a system upgrade (gutsy to hardy) openoffice
would install. Removing the openoffce.org* from /var/cache/apt/archives
did the trick. Thanks!!

[Bug 214156] Re: openoffice.org-base openoffice.org-core not installing

2008-05-17 Thread Chris Cheney
bmarsh,

Why do you believe that there should be a 'liblzma.so.0' on your system,
what claims it can not find it? Can you paste a log? There is no
'liblzma.so.0' to my knowledge at all, so if something thinks there is
then that is a problem. And I was the one that tested and wrote the
remaining pieces of dpkg-lzma support in Ubuntu.

dpkg uses the lzma binary which it pre-depends on so should always be
installed on a system before the openoffice.org packages are attempted
to be installed.

Thanks,

Chris

[Bug 214156] Re: openoffice.org-base openoffice.org-core not installing

2008-05-15 Thread bmarsh
(Hardy) I am currently unable to install many of the Openoffice
modules, including the updates that are available.

The error is that dpkg cannot unpack the modules/updates because
'liblzma.so.0' is not found. I have been unable to find any such lib.

This problem started to occur under gutsy and has occurred now on 4
different machines.

2008-04-08 Thread Chris Cheney
Does this happen to you if you try again? It looks like it probably
either didn't fully download the package or you ran out of memory. The
package itself is ok since I installed it just a few minutes ago myself.
