Hi, I got exactly the same error. The Ubuntu of 8.04 finished about 95% without any success or error installation message. The progress status bar just closed. I rebooted and I received Grub Error 22. In 7.10 I had exactly the same problem and I unplugged all my USB devices (Bluetooh, mouse, webcam, printer and scanner). No USB disks were plugged nor the first time neither the second one. Then I reinstalled and everything worked properly. In 8.04, the behavour has been exactly the same, so 8.04 is running perfectly now.
