[Bug 217526] Re: firefox offers to install a java plugin, but clicking "next" does nothing
I am having the same problem but a little different setup. I have sun- java6-jdk and sun-java5-jdk installed. I visited a site using the Java plugin which prompted me to install the missing plugin. I am given four options: GCJ, Sun Java 6, Sun Java 5 and GCJ (IcedTea). I selected Sun Java 6, clicked next and a screen briefly should something with a Finish button then closed. The page reloads with the same prompt to install missing plugins. There are plugin files in /usr/lib/jvm, but nothing in /usr/lib/firefox. ~$ locate libjavaplugin /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.15/jre/lib/i386/libjavaplugin_jni.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.15/jre/lib/i386/libjavaplugin_nscp.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.15/jre/lib/i386/libjavaplugin_nscp_gcc29.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.15/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.15/jre/plugin/i386/ns7-gcc29/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.05/jre/lib/i386/libjavaplugin_jni.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.05/jre/lib/i386/libjavaplugin_nscp.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.05/jre/lib/i386/libjavaplugin_nscp_gcc29.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.05/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.05/jre/plugin/i386/ns7-gcc29/libjavaplugin_oji.so -- firefox offers to install a java plugin, but clicking "next" does nothing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217526 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
