[Bug 218123] Re: International Clock Applet - Home Settings not getting Saved

2008-10-04 Thread Björn Torkelsson
I have the same problem on an updated (as of 2008-10-04) Intrepid, with
4 cities (Ängelholm, Stockholm, Umeå and Niagra Falls) defined. I have
to set the home location every time I log in.

I don't have any /etc/timezone

The machine was installed last summer on 'Ubuntu 7.10 _Gutsy Gibbon_ -
Alpha amd64 (20070823.5)' and has been upgraded since then

2008-06-09 Thread Lee Maguire
This still happens for me with the released 8.04 - I need to click the
"Set" button on every session in order to display the weather in the
taskbar.

[Bug 218123] Re: International Clock Applet - Home Settings not getting Saved

2008-05-08 Thread Ray
This bug can't be reproduced in Hardy final relase version. Since I
installed 8.04 after the release now everything seems to be ok. The
problem was in the beta version.

I had/has "Asia/Kolkata" in /etc/timezone.

Thanks again for your response.

[Bug 218123] Re: International Clock Applet - Home Settings not getting Saved

2008-04-16 Thread Ray
** Description changed:

+ This problem is happening with the Clock Applet (International clock and
+ Weather) of the Gnome Panel.
+
  1) System : Ubuntu 8.04 (updated till April 16, 2008)
- 2) Clock 2.22.1.2
+ 2) Clock 2.22.1.2 (the Clock applet in the gnome-panel)
  3) Once I set my city as home, I expected the settings to be saved when I
switch off my PC.
  4) Everytime I start my PC, I have to set my city as home. If I don't do that
then the Weather is not showing on the panel. Only the time is showing. Please
note in Preference the Show Weather and Show temperature checkboxes are on.

Remarks : This is the first time, I am reporting a bug, so if I have
made any mistake in reporting please guide me so that I follow the rules
  next time.
