[Bug 218296] Re: [hardy] window sizes not saved across sessions
Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04? ** Changed in: metacity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- [hardy] window sizes not saved across sessions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 218296] Re: [hardy] window sizes not saved across sessions
I re-ran the experiment and attached the session file from ~/.metacity/sessions. I do not have a ~/.config/metacity. In this experiment, I also had Evolution and Firefox running, and they did not get restored to the proper positions. Interestingly, pidgin did get restored properly. One more piece of data -- I am running a dual-headed setup. Thanks. ** Attachment added: "requested session file from ~/.metacity/sessions/" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13828263/117f00010100012064841910064260022.ms -- [hardy] window sizes not saved across sessions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 218296] Re: [hardy] window sizes not saved across sessions
Sorry, thought error. In those two directories there will be many files with the extension ".ms". What I would like you to do is to find the one that has the timestamp... etc. -- [hardy] window sizes not saved across sessions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 218296] Re: [hardy] window sizes not saved across sessions
You will have at least one of: a directory called ~/.metacity/sessions/ , and a directory called ~/.config/metacity/sessions/ . What I would like you to do is to find the one that has the timestamp from when you logged out in this experiment (run it again if you need to), check it to make sure it doesn't have any sensitive information in it (the names of windows will be the only such possible thing), and then attach it to this bug. -- [hardy] window sizes not saved across sessions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
