[Bug 221691] Re: Can't move window

2008-04-29 Thread A. Walton
"I'm tailing the .xsession-error file and the only thing that comes up is
this:
** (nautilus:6101): WARNING **: Unable to add monitor: Not supported"

This is just a warning from Nautilus telling us GVFS isn't complete
(doesn't support monitoring on some locations). We really should turn
that warning off eh?

Re: [Bug 221691] Re: Can't move window

2008-04-28 Thread Trond Husoe
I have now tried with a different user and the bug are still present.
When Compiz is activated (by default when creating a new user) the
window cannot be moved.

Turning Compiz of makes it possible to move. Sometimes the window opens
up maximized. Trying to move an icon is impossible. It tries to fire up
the program.

When moving a window on this user the window is maximized for a short
time before going back to it's original state and size.

Re: [Bug 221691] Re: Can't move window

2008-04-28 Thread Trond Husoe
I do think that it could be a nautilus problem as well. When I try and
move a window it is being maximized. When I try and move an Icon it
opens up the file or the program.

I will now try and create a new user on the same box and see if this one
gets the same problems.

Re: [Bug 221691] Re: Can't move window

2008-04-25 Thread Trond Husoe
You are correct. It must be a compiz problem. I have now turned of
Compiz and it is now working.

Is there some debug information that I could provide that would be of
any help?

Just want to mention that the problem is still present. I have to click
windows titlebar a few times and _then_ it is possible to move it.

Re: [Bug 221691] Re: Can't move window

2008-04-25 Thread Trond Husoe
Hi there,

After I installed the emerald-thingy I could move the windows. The
problem was present after a fresh and clean reinstall - except for the
Home partition (Which I had to have fresh as I have lots of important
data on that partition).

The desktop effects was set to middle if I remember correctly.

So you could say that the bug is not a bug, but at the same time that if
compiz is enabled that Emerald has to be installed.

dialogs only? Do you use the desktop effects option?
