[Bug 222229] Re: Firefox causes Kernel bug and crash
I think that this is more general. The applications gvfs-gphoto2-vo, notify-osd and again gvfa-gphoto2-vo produced corrupted page table messages. The latter two may be consecutive faults, but I'm just speculating. I hadn't too many connections open. But the system became unresponsive. I could switch to a terminal and call dmesg. But it hung completely when i called reboot. ** Attachment added: "kern.log (today), kern.log.4 (May, 27th), dmesg (today, after crash)" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/27823560/logs.tar.bz2 -- Firefox causes Kernel bug and crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/29 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 222229] Re: Firefox causes Kernel bug and crash
I have the same problem. When I use firefox, some times when there are many connections, everything freezes, also mouse pointer animation. But I am able to move the mouse. But I have to do a hard reset (turn off the power on my laptop) to continue. Usually I get this when I go to my www.netvibes.com account. Hi flclfan, Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISOs are available from cdimage.ubuntu.com) If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log? Thanks in advance. The output of lspci -vvnn would also be worth having. ** Changed in: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Firefox causes Kernel bug and crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/29 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
