[Bug 222344] Re: dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's
Simple question: why is Dragon player set as the default application for .mpeg, .wmv, etc. files? If it can't play them, it shouldn't be used to open them. -- dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Please, why is this in the category wishlist? [Bug 222344] Re: dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's
Kubuntu UI need to Speak to the user. That restricted format page did not mention anything about Dragon or the problem mentioned here. Dragon player did not play the wmv, wma, mpg, mpeg formats and it sits quietly. Seems too bashful to admit it couldnt do its job. Too little info on dragon for me to start working on it. -- dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdemultimedia in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 222344] Re: dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's
That doesn't explain the problems with .wav files. In any case, though: if a codec is missing, Dragon Player should say so - and not fail silently. -- dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 222344] Re: dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's
I just downloaded the Kubuntu Intrepid beta live CD. I tried to play the following types in Dragon Player: .mpeg, .mov, .wmv, .flv, .avi. It didn't play a single one. It just silently stopped. In case of .avi, it would pretend to play it - but really, it fast-forwarded through the video, with no image and no sound. I did get it to play a .wav file - but only once. -- dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 222344] Re: dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's
DVDs dont work for me either with dragon player. I use a fresh alpha 5 install ( plus all updates until now). After installing xine-ui, dvd playback works again. I have same problem in Intrepid. I have installed all codecs and libxine1-all-plugins too. But the player not works. [Bug 222344] Re: dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's
Dragonplayer cannot play DVD ISOs right now. It is a known issue. As for the Avi files, I imagine you do not have the codecs installed. VLC uses a different set of codec libraries to xine (the engine dragonplayer is using) Try installing: libxine1-all-plugins either through synaptic/adept, or by typing sudo apt-get install libxine1-all-plugins -- dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 222344] Re: dragon player cannot play my DVD-iso's or avi's
Sorry I cannot test the solutions since I switch back since there was to many bugs in Kubuntu 8.04 kde 4, proberbly becouse of kde 4.0. But I am happt that there is a solution for the problem. Maybe let dragon player depends on libxine1-all-plugin if it is the solution On Fri, Jun 27, 2008 at 12:42 PM, David Edmundson [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Dragonplayer cannot play DVD ISOs right now.
