this sounds like an issue with the nautilus file browser, not with samba
itself; reassigning.

[Bug 223424] Re: Samba Local Area Network File Transfewr BUG

2008-04-29 Thread MagicMoonLight
I have found a temporary solution to getting files sent to my Windows XP
machine that is in my local area network TCP/IP threw samba client.

Copy/Cut files and pasating them to my XP Machine still does not work
but if I simply drag and drop the file I want to send to the XP Machine
folder mount that is on the desktop when samba connects to the machine
that is on the network. I take the file I want and drag and drop over
the folder mount that is on the desktop and the file is sent to the
networked XP machine.

Cut/Copy Paste files to XP Computer Not Working.
Cut/Copy Paste files From XP Computer to Ubuntu 7.04 Linux Machine works good.
Drag and Drop files to XP Computer Works Good.
Drag and Drop files From XP Computer ro Ubuntu 7.04 Linux Machine not Tested.
