[Bug 227439] Re: kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail
* I get the same problem running Kubuntu 9.04 with KDE 4.2.2 and Kmail version 1.11.2. * I realised that it was the mail checking when I switched off Interval Mail Checking - It is definitely the checking of mail causing a problem for me - At least switching off interval checking let control when my CPU would go haywire * I have seen this problem once or twice before - perhaps 2 months ago for a week or two. Then one day the usual daily Kubuntu software update fixed it * It's a very frustrating problem, especially as it has recurred for me so soon. I would be happy to send on logs and help out * Thanks again for alll the great KDE 4 work. Looks great - other than this bug :-) -- kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 227439] Re: kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail
I'm here because I just upgraded from Ubuntu 8.04 to 9.04, and am experiencing this in Kmail. I've used Kmail since 2002 and never seen this before. This bug is extremely valid. When I check my mail for the first time, the CPU usage goes to like 90%. It subsides once the check is complete. I've also have a few sig 11 crashes upon changing settings and then closing Kmail. -- kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 227439] Re: kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail
I'm setting this to invalid then because we would need some verification and logfiles when this happens. You can reopen this bug when your problem is there again. Until then, thanks for the report. ** Changed in: kdepim (Ubuntu) Assignee: Andreas Moog (andreas-moog) => (unassigned) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 227439] Re: kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail
Currently I'm using KMail 1.10.0 from kde4-PIM and there is no yet of any symptoms described in my bugrepot. But on my observations critical mail number is for about 1 and currently I'm having only ~5000 after some cleaning. -- kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: kdepim (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Andreas Moog (andreas-moog) Status: New => Incomplete -- kmail random high cpu usage during fetching mail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

I have the same problems under the same environment.
