As mentioned, this is fixed in Ubuntu 8.10. Ubuntu 8.04 LTS is no longer open for development. If you use any of the vnc clients that use gtk-vnc (vinagre, virt- viewer, virt-manager, possibly others), you're using the ExtKeyEvent VNC extenstion, which removes the need for this. Hello, If I'm not mistaken, none of these clients are working on Windows. Working in a mixed environment, the host is a headless linux server and the VNC access to the guest graphical interface is done through VNC from a Windows machine. If you know of a Windows VNC client supporting this functionality, I will be glad to hear it.
