Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: base-installer

I'm using the alternate install CD, to install on a system with a
previous Linux install (fedora 9). Both installs share a common /boot
partition, and have a separate disk partition for /. If I install fedora
first, when I install ubuntu the contents of the /boot partition gets
cleaned. I'm prety sure that it is not reformated because the lost+found
directory does not exists after install.

** Affects: base-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
