Thanks for the builds in your PPA. They fix the noise I got with the normal packages for Jaunty 64 bit. Hi, To have it backported, it first need to be in the current development version (karmic), and that's not the case right now. I still think I will be able to have it in Karmic, but I still miss one dependency (gmerlin-avdecoder). This is a great, simple video editor. It is missing some bells and whistles, but for the 'behind the scenes' stuff it takes care of for the user, this is priceless. The new features that have been added in the past year make it look amazing, giving great freedom in some necessary ways I think potential users of the current ubuntu version could say are severely lacking. This is a weakness I can't argue with potential converts to Ubuntu. I could really put on a show with the current version of this application. New laptops are coming with web cams, and people want to put their videos on youtube. I've built .deb packages for newer versions of gavl and libquicktime that would enable you to build the new OME. However, it is far from package standards (don't know how aside from configure, make, checkinstall).
