[Bug 240138] Re: Flash doesn't work in FF3 since Update to Ubuntu 8.04
I can report that this is no longer an issue for me, using: - GStreamer Core Library version 0.10.21 - flashplugin-nonfree 10.0.22.87ubuntu1~intrepid1 on Intreipid with a 2.6.27-13-generic kernel. It appears to be fixed. -- Flash doesn't work in FF3 since Update to Ubuntu 8.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240138 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 240138] Re: Flash doesn't work in FF3 since Update to Ubuntu 8.04
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance. [Bug 240138] Re: Flash doesn't work in FF3 since Update to Ubuntu 8.04
Once playing a flash SWF, all gstreamer stops working (Totem, Rhythmbox, etc). Conversely, flash movies start but do not play when a gstreamer application is running. My sound card is Intel, and I'm using ALSA. This is pretty serious - it's unrealistic to expect people to either surf the web OR listen to music; but not both.
Try installing the ubuntu-restricted-extras meta-package. This package contains a lot of useful codecs for playing non-free media formats.
