Hello. Just came across this bug and thought i'd reopen it. (i'm very new to all this so not sure yet about proper procedure) i have a sony vaio e series with this graphics card...(output of lspci) VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Manhattan [Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series] I have a 22 Dell external monitor connected using a VGA cable. Thanks for attaching the Xorg.0.log. It looks like the EDID shows up properly in the X server startup, so not sure why the data isn't making it to xrandr. One more thing - could you run `sudo ddcprobe ddcprobe.txt` and `sudo get-edid edid.dat` and attach both those files here?
