Still getting this problem on 8.10 with Firefox 3.0.5+nobinonly- 0ubuntu0.8.10.1, Compiz 1:0.7.8-0ubuntu4.1 and Xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu3. I KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING The firefox "Throbber" icon causes 100% CPU load with Xorg when running compiz as pages are loading.
