[Bug 250730] Re: nvdia-glx fails with kernel 2.6.24-19-generic
Thank you for this hint! The module-assistant did not work for me, maybe it's because I installed the driver with the original script from the nvidia homepage NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.05-pkg1.run. But I have just repeated this script with the new kernel loaded, and now everything works fine! -- nvdia-glx fails with kernel 2.6.24-19-generic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/250730 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 250730] Re: nvdia-glx fails with kernel 2.6.24-19-generic
Did you rebuild your proprietary driver when you upgraded the kernel? Whenever you upgrade the kernel you have to rebuild those drivers. You can use module-assistant for this. What version of the NVIDIA drivers are you using? I thought the GeForce4 used nvidia-legacy-glx instead of nvidia-glx. -- nvdia-glx fails with kernel 2.6.24-19-generic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/250730 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
