Can you please obtain a back trace of your crash or maybe better to
enable apport than restart Ubuntu than reproduce the crash and look in
/var/crash for the crash log. Report it with apport if you enable it.
To enable apport (use your favorite editor inplace of gedit) sudo gedit
/etc/default/apport than change the value on line 2 from 0 to 1 save and
close. restart Ubuntu and reproduce crash
