Public bug reported: I am using ubuntu 8.10 with the latest updates.
Today i decided to free some room on my hard drive and i came to realize that the old kernels where using more than one GB of my hard drive. I do not think it is reasonable to automatically keep more than 3 old kernels especially on low configuration with a small hard drive. But the actual bug is: during the removal process, for a given version of the kernel, synaptic will remove the kernel module at first and then update the kernel boot image which will be removed a few seconds later. It is, in my opinion, a huge waste a computing time! ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kernel removal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/255346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
