Public bug reported: While trying out intrepid-alpha4 under kvm, I started the VM with a virtio disk:
~/qemu.pt/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -m 1024 -drive file=/guests/kubuntu- intrepid-alpha4-64.qcow2,if=virtio -cdrom ~/images/intrepid-desktop- amd64.iso -boot d This creates partitions, but doesn't succeed in mounting them. When I start it as a normal disk: ~/qemu.pt/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -m 1024 /guests/kubuntu-intrepid- alpha4-64.qcow2 -cdrom ~/images/intrepid-desktop-amd64.iso -boot d the install progresses. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- intrepid installer fails to format/mount partitions on virtio disks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257887 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
